OK, OK, OK… I think we should start this one off by talking about how Anna and Jordan met. Say hello to “OK Cupid”! We are HUGE fans of couples who meet online because as long as everyone is honest in their profiles, you can meet someone that perfectly matches your ‘dream man/woman’. That’s exactly what happened with this fancy pair back in 2013.
While celebrating their 5-year anniversary on a staycation at the Drake, Jordan arranged a lovely dinner at Spiaggia. Before dinner in their hotel room, they exchanged gifts. Jordan gave Anna a glass slipper engraved with “Will You Marry Me?” and a ring box inside. Anna began to cray immediately and said
“yes!” A little background for those of you who do not know Anna, she is a Disney fan so the glass slipper could not be more perfect. They later put the glass slipped on the place card table for guests to see on wedding day.
So let’s fast forward to the day they sealed the deal. Everyone in the wedding party got ready at the Chicago Athletic Association, the place they were to marry later in the evening. After Anna was in her dress and ready to go, her dad came in for a father daughter first look. If you haven’t added this in your timeline, we recommend it! It’s a special moment that both you and your dad will never forget. He’s envisioned this day ever since the day you were born.
They went on to do Anna and Jordan’s first look in the Art Institute South Gardens. A beautiful area with trees that provide a delicate shade, perfect for taking pictures on your big day. Their wedding party joined them for more pictures and then they headed back to the hotel to prepare for the ceremony.
The nuptials took place in the Madison Ballroom where there is a gorgeous statement chandelier, large windows and a romantic glow from the abundant candles spread around the space. The ceremony fell nothing short of plenty of happy tears, hand-written vows and a kiss to finish it off.
Cocktail hour was in the 8th floor pre-function space, right outside of the Windy City Ballroom, then guests were led into the Ballroom for dinner and dancing. After the cake cutting, speeches and the dancing kicked off, guests were happily surprised to see a luscious display of sweet treats and hot and fresh Shake Shack Burgers! The night went by so fast but it was spent well with Anna and Jordan’s closest friends.
Congratulations once again, we wish you nothing but happiness in your future! We can’t wait to reconnect!
