Gold Glam Wedding at the Drake

Candi and Chip are one of a kind. Not only do their names perfectly go together, they have an infectious chemistry that any couple dreams about. My favorite story that Candi and Chip told me is about their weekly encounter with free dessert. Waiters at restaurants get a huge kick out of their name combination. And Candi and Chip always mention they’re huge dessert people. Because of this, waiters have given them a complimentary dessert to finish off their meal (more times than not)! How amazing, right?!

Lets get to their wedding details! Candi and Chip both got ready at the Drake Hotel which was also their reception location later on in the evening. Candi got ready with her sister, friend, daughter and Chip’s daughters.

As a tribute to Chip’s son, Candi had a friend design and create baseball themed bridal shoes with laces up the sides and his number on the bottom of the shoes. Chip also had a boutonniere made out of a real baseball!, paired with a few additional flowers.

After getting ready, Candi and Chip made their commitment official at Old St. Pats, took some pictures around the city, and headed over to Palm Court at the Drake for cocktail hour.

All the guests were invited into the Grand Ballroom which was dripping in gold and gorgeous details. They had napkin ties that were customized with their names and wedding date atop an ivory charger plate. There was a three tier gold and blue marble wedding cake. Their centerpieces consisted of crystal candelabras, luscious ivory centerpieces and floating candles which perfectly reflected off of the gorgeous chandeliers above all the tables.

They danced the night away thanks to the fabulous music provided by The Party Faithful. And when the guests weren’t dancing, you could find them eating a donut off the donut wall, provided by the Drake!
