An Ivy Room Affair

Jessica & Josh grew up in the same town but never knew each other until they were introduced through mutual friends at a party. They started dating in 2010, so fast forward 7 years, Josh proposed in September of 2017! Josh tricked Jessica by telling her they were celebrating her birthday, but he had something else down his sleeve! Josh made Jessica the most amazing dinner at home and wrapped the ring in a box – what she thought was a birthday gift!

Jessica & Josh’s big celebration was on August 10th at the Ivy Room. The day started off at Hotel Palomar just down the street with her sisters, soon to be sisters-in-law and her mom! They all had adorable matching robes while they got pampered in the morning.

After they were ready, Jessica & Josh headed to the rooftop patio of Hotel Palomar to share their first look. They strolled down the river walk together, soon to be joined with their wedding party for more pictures.

Before they knew it, it was time to officially get married! The nuptials began in the courtyard of the Ivy Room. They picked the perfect time to get married because the Ivy was all the way up the walls, making for a beautiful backdrop. Cocktails begin immediately after in the courtyard. We loved their puzzle piece guest book where guests all pick a piece to sign and place together!

Guests were then invited inside the Ivy Room for dinner and dancing. But right after Jessica & Josh’s first dance, they had another special song in place. They got married on the same date as Jessica’s parents – how cute!! So they played a song for mom and dad to dance to because in part, it’s their special day too. Congratulations Jessica & Josh!!
