Hi family and friends! How excited are you for Erika & Joey’s big weekend?!
We want to make sure you’re as prepared as possible so please take a look through this page to learn all you need to know going into the wedding day.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 7

3:00pmCheck in available at Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile
7:00pm Rehearsal dinner at Giordano’s

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8

7:40amErika & ladies (Monica Bobek, Karen Collins, Jessica Muscrello, Georgie Fesset, & Olivia
Rehberger) heads to The Carter via Erika’s brother (Kevin) dropping off everyone off
8:00amAll ladies receiving hair and makeup services arrive at The Carter
Hair & makeup stylist arrives for setup
Breakfast/brunch delivered from Panera
8:20amHair & makeup services begin **schedule found below**
11:30am Groomsmen arrive at Erika & Joey’s home location to relax and hang out with Joey
Lunch delivered from Jimmy John’s for the guys
12:20pmALL guys are dressed and ready for the trolley’s arrival
12:30pmPhotograhpers arrive on site at The Carter
Trolley arrives at Erika & Joey’s home → guys start boarding
Conor is in charge of the foam cooler containing water, champagne, leftover sandwiches, and ice inside
12:35pmAll guys are on the trolley, with their personal items, and departs for The Carter
12:50pmTrolley arrives at The Carter; guys head inside and have their “getting ready” shots taken
Photographers pins boutonnières on Joey & the guys
1:00pmALL hair and makeup completed
Erika & bridesmaids take photos in their getting ready outfits
1:15pm Erika, bridesmaids & moms put on their dresses separately
1:20pmOnce photos wrap up, ALL guys go back onto the trolley
1:25pmOnce dressed, Erika’s party head downstairs to get ready for Erika’s first look
1:30pmErika’s first look with bridesmaids downstairs
After pictures finish, ladies board the trolley & Erika hides for first look with Joey
Jessica and Monica are charge of grabbing Erika’s personal items for the trolley
Once Erika is hidden, Joey comes inside and gets staged for the first look
1:35pmFirst look at The Carter
1:50pmOnce first look portraits wrap up, Erika & Joey board the trolley
Trolley departs The Carter and heads downtown for wedding party pictures
2:05pmWedding Party pictures begin outside of Gibsons Italia
Weather backup photo location at Cultural Center, Art Institute, or outside of Lyric Opera
2:50pmEveryone heads back to the Trolley
2:55pmTrolley heads to Board of Trade for 2nd photo location
3:10pmWedding party pictures begin at Board of Trade
3:15pmGuest shuttle arrives to Hyatt Centric (available for immediate family to load in)
3:30pmShuttle departs Hyatt Centric and heads to The Carter
4:00pmEveryone boards the trolley & heads back to The Carter
All family in pre ceremony pictures begins arriving at The Carter via guest shuttle
Shuttle loops around
Ohana Events makes sure family has their personal floral (boutonnières/corsages)
4:20pmTrolley drops off the wedding party at The Carter
Erika’s first look with dad at The Carter
4:30pmFamily pictures begin inside The Carter or outside on the patio
4:45pmShuttle arrives and waits for guests to load in
4:55pmShuttle departs Hyatt Centric for The Carter
5:00pmALL photos completed, Erika & Joey get tucked away in the bridal suite
Erika touches up her makeup in the bridal suite room
Mini rehearsal with the wedding party
5:15pmPrelude music begins
Ushers (Paul & Kevin C &Tony) & Officiant (Kevin M) go to ceremony site 
Ohana Events checks that the best man (Tony) has the wedding rings
5:20pmGuests begin arriving via shuttle
5:30pmCeremony begins!
6:00pmErika & Joey are married!!!
Immediately following end of ceremony pictures begin at the altar

Cocktail hour begins outside & inside the venue
Erika’s brother in law’s Dad (Wayne) takes kids and items home (ceremonial items, items from the bridal suite)
7:15pmCocktail hour ends and guests invited inside to take their seats
7:35pmIntroductions begin:
1) Joey’s guys
2) Erika’s girls
3) Erika & Joey
7:45pmWelcome and toast by Erika’s dad (Larry)
8:05pmOnce all salads are served, speeches begin:
1) Jessica (MOH)
2) Tony (BM)
8:45pmAfter all entrées are served, Joey & Erika give their “thank you” speech
8:50pmAfter their “thank you” speech, special dances begin:
1) Joey & his mom
2) Erika & her dad
3) Erika & Joey’s first dance
8:55pmDance floor opens!
Continuous shuttle available for guests to go back to the hotel
12:00amParty’s over 🙁
All items go into Erika or Joey’s parent’s car
12:30amAfter party at the Hyatt Centric or a nearby bar

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9

9:00am to 11:00amBrunch, with immediate family, at Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile in Streeterville Room

HAIR/MAKEUP SCHEDULE

Beauty Pointers!

  1. Hair is best styled with clean (washed day/night before; shampoo 2x and apply condition to your ends only), product-free or limited product in hair.
  2. IF applying serum/oils, avoid applying to the scalp area
  3. Hair should be completely dry (BLOW DRY, not air dry, and avoid sleeping with damp hair), unless your plan on a blowout. Anyone with damp hair runs risk of being behind. unless your service includes a blowout
  4. Part your hair where you think you’d most likely want to style it for the wedding day
  5. Leave hair down to avoid creases or flatness from a hair band
  6. Do not apply SPF moisturizers to your skin. You may still moisturize with a non SPF product. SPF causes makeup to fall off quicker.
  7. Wear a button up shirt or a robe so you don’t mess up your makeup or hair when changing into your dress.
  8. Brush your teeth and put in your contacts prior to beginning your beauty.
  9. It is helpful if each bridal party member has an inspirational image prepared to guide them.
  10. Lipstick will not last all day & night. Pack a touch up lipstick or gloss for reapplication.
  11. Pluck / maintain eyebrows before the wedding day
  12. Don’t forget to shave any areas that you want to be smooth/clean

DON’T FORGET TO HAVE READY & BRING …

Ladies

  1. Erika will provide getting ready outfits so come in comfy clothes but know you’ll be changing
  2. Wedding day outfit including appropriate bras/Spanx/undergarments
  3. Accessories for wedding day
  4. Erika will provide getting ready slippers, but please bring shoes for your wedding day outfit (nude/gold/tan)
  5. Clutch/purse with personal items/IDs, phone, lipstick, tissues, etc.
  6. Wedding card – if applicable
  7. Jessica: Print speech for dinner (ideally not read off of your phone). Feel free to email your speech to Sonya@ohanaevents.com if you want it printed!

Gentlemen

  1. Wedding day outfit: Black Socks, Shoes, Pants, Shirt, Suspenders, Coat, Pocket Square, Cufflinks, Bow Tie
  2. We have a video linked HERE; please connect with the other groomsmen to see how they are folding them. Ideally, all the pocket squares will look the exact same. Please confirm the final pocket square fold with the bride and groom!
  3. Arrive in something comfortable to get ready in
  4. ​Cell phones, wallets and anything else you may keep in your suit coat pocket (do not put these items in your pants pockets – it will ruin pictures!)
  5. Wedding card – if applicable
  6. Larry & Tony: Printed speech for dinner (ideally not read off of your phone). Feel free to email your speech to Sonya@ohanaevents.com if you want it printed!
