8:00am Marty & guys go golfing at Itasca Country Club
4:00pmCheck in available at Hilton Oak Brook
5:00pmRehearsal at St Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church
6:30pmRehearsal dinner at Gibson’s in Oak Brook
9:00pm-11:00pmWelcome drinks at Hilton’s Oak (Monarch Room)

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23

6:45amMakeup artist arrives for setup (2nd artist arrives 1 hour later)
7:00amHair stylist arrives for setup (lead artist arriving 15 minutes later)
Bridesmaids & moms arrive at Katelyn’s mom’s home  
Katelyn’s mom provides brunch for the ladies
7:15amMakeup services begin ** schedule found below **
7:30amHair services begin ** schedule found below **
10:15amMarty’s mom’s services are complete and she heads back home to join Marty & the guys
11:00amGroomsmen arrive at Marty’s parent’s home to relax and hang out with Marty
Marty’s mom provides lunch for the guys
11:45amPhotographer (Karlie) arrives at Katelyn’s parent’s home
12:15pmALL hair and makeup completed
Katelyn & bridesmaids take photos in their getting ready outfits

Photographer arrives at Marty’s parent’s home
12:30pmKatelyn, bridesmaids & moms put on their dresses separately

Marty and groomsmen begin their “getting ready” shots taken
12:40pmKatelyn’s first look with bridesmaids at the house
12:45pmThe girl’s trolley arrives to Katelyn’s mom’s home

Guy’s shuttle arrives to Marty’s parents home

Katelyn’s dad arrives at the house & does a first look

→ put onto the trolley or brings to church to put onto trolley
12:55pmKatelyn & dad boards the trolley; once on board, trolley departs for the church 

Guys organize all belongings so it’s ready for the shuttle
1:00pmMarty & party walk over to Waiola Park

1:05pmMarty & party begin portraits at Waiola Park
1:15pmGuy’s shuttle arrives to Marty’s parent’s home
1:30pmKatelyn & party arrive to the church
Portraits begin around the church (no other weddings/groups at the church)
1:40pmMarty & party load all personal items onto the shuttle
Once everything & everyone is on board, shuttle heads to the church
2:00pmVideographers arrive to the church
Katelyn’s grandma arrives at the church
2:05pmKatelyn’s first look with her grandma on church grounds
2:15pmALL photos completed, Katelyn & party gets tucked away in the bridal suite
Katelyn touches up her makeup

Marty & party arrive at the church and get tucked away
→ ONCE GIVEN OK THAT GIRLS ARE PUT AWAY!!!

Readers (Andrea & Collin) arrive to the church (Kite Hall)
2:30pm3 Ushers/Program Passers (Will, Rob, & Neil) go to ceremony site
Ohana Events checks that the best man (Peter) has the wedding rings
Wedding party starts heading to Kite Hall
3:00pmCeremony begins!
4:00pmKatelyn & Marty are married!!!

Immediately following end of ceremony, pictures begin at the altar and outside (arches)
4:30pmAll photos are complete & everyone must be out of the church
Wedding party’s significant others board the trolley to head back to the hotel
Grand exit photo op with immediate family & wedding party
4:35pmWedding party takes group photos on church grounds
All parents and other immediate family board the shuttle to take them to Hilton
4:50pmWedding party boards the trolley and heads to Hilton
5:05pmParents and other immediate family gets dropped off at Hilton
5:20pmWedding party gets dropped off and begins wedding party portraits on Hilton grounds
Trolley drops off wedding party’s significant others and loops around to grab remaining party
5:29pmGroup photos wrap up; wedding party boards trolley to be dropped off at the hotel 
Wedding party can go into their rooms to drop off items, touch up, etc. 
Katelyn & Marty stay back for photos
5:45pmCouple portraits finish; Katelyn & Marty head inside
5:50pmKatelyn’s hair service starts in the White Oak room
5:55pmMarty checks in/gets situated before joining cocktail hour while Katelyn gets her hair done
6:00pmCocktail hour begins in East & South Foyer
6:25pmKatelyn’s hair service finishes
6:30pmRoom reveal with Katelyn and Marty
Katelyn & Marty go outside for golden hour photos on Hilton grounds
7:00pmCocktail hour ends and guests invited into the Ballroom
7:20pmIntroductions begin:
1) both parents and Katelyn’s grandma
2) wedding party as a combined group
3) Katelyn & Marty!
7:30pmWelcome toast by Katelyn’s dad (Dominic)
7:35pmAfter Katelyn’s dad speech, special dances begin:
1) Father/daughter
2) Mother/son
7:40pmBlessing by Marty’s aunt (Maggie)
8:25pmAfter all pasta is served, Jessica’s (MOH) speech begins
9:05pmAfter all entrées are served, Peter’s (BM) speech begins
9:15pmKatelyn and Marty say their “thank you”, followed by their first dance 
Guests are invited onto the dance floor!
12:00amParty’s over!! 🙁
Ohana Events finishes gathering all personal items
All items go in Katelyn’s mom’s room
After party at Hilton’s upstairs bar

HAIR / MAKEUP SCHEDULE

Beauty Pointers!

  • Hair is best styled with clean, product-free or limited product in hair.
  • Hair should be completely dry, unless your service includes a blowout. Anyone with damp hair will be asked to step away and finish blow-drying their hair.
  • Do not apply SPF moisturizers to your skin. You may still moisturize with a non SPF product.
  • Wear a button up shirt or a robe so you don’t mess up your makeup or hair when changing into your dress.
  • Brush your teeth and put in your contacts prior to sitting in the makeup chair.
  • It is helpful if each bridal party member has an inspirational image prepared to show the hairstylist/makeup artist.
  • Lipstick will not last all day & night. Pack a touch up lipstick or gloss for reapplication.

DON’T FORGET TO BRING…

Ladies

  1. Katelyn will be providing getting ready outfits (robe & slippers!) so come in comfy clothes but know you’ll be changing
  2. Wedding day outfit including appropriate bras/Spanx/undergarments
  3. Accessories for wedding day (Katelyn will provide earrings)
  4. Shoes for your wedding day outfit and party shoes
  5. Clutch/purse with personal items/IDs, phone, lipstick, tissues, etc.
  6. Wedding card – if applicable
  7. Jessica: Print speech for dinner (ideally not read off of your phone). Feel free to email your speech to Sonya@ohanaevents.com if you want our planner to print a copy!

Men

  1. Wedding day outfit: black patent leather shoes, black socks, black pants, white dress shirt, silver onyx button studs, silver onyx cufflinks, black bow tie, and notched tuxedo jacket
  2. Cell phones, wallets and anything else you may keep in your suit coat pocket (do not put these items in your pants pockets – it will ruin pictures!)
  3. Arrive in something comfortable to get ready in
  4. Wedding card – if applicable
  5. Dominic & Peter: Print speech for dinner (ideally not read off of your phone). Feel free to email your speech to Sonya@ohanaevents.com if you want our planner to print a copy!
