We want to make sure you’re as prepared as possible so please take a look through this page to learn all you need to know going into the wedding day.

TIMELINE OF EVENTS

SATURDAY, AUGUST 29

9:30am	Those first in the chair receiving beauty services arrive at Kylie’s suite  MOH (Ashley) manages breakfast order to be delivered to Drake Oak Brook Beauty team arrives for setup Brian heads to parent’s house/breakfast with the guys
9:40am-9:45am	Hair and makeup services begin **schedule below**
11:00am	Lunch delivered to Drake Oak Brook for Kylie and party
1:00pm	Kylie’s parents (already dressed for the day) depart for Drake Oak Brook from their home
1:15pm	ALL hair and makeup services are complete → Kylie organizes her items needed for wedding day → Ashley gets into wedding day outfit  → Kylie’s party organizes items that are needed for the day and get into wedding outfit
1:30pm	Kylie’s parents arrive at Drake Oak Brook to pick up Kylie and Ashley  Kylie and Ashley head downstairs; Ashley is in charge of Kylie’s personal items  Kylie’s party cleans up the space before they leave Brian and party arrives at Brian’s parents to get ready for the day  Brian’s parents get into their wedding day outfit for the day
1:35pm	Kylie, Ashley, and Kylie’s parents depart for Morton
1:45pm	Once everyone is dressed, Kylie’s party orders rideshares or get rides from partners to Morton
1:50pm	Kylie, Ashley, and parents arrive at Firefly  → Kylie and MOH (Ashley) go into the bridal suite to get dressed for detail shots  → Kylie’s parents stay outside of the bridal suite and wait for first look  Kylie’s party departs for Morton
2:05pm	Brian, his party, and his parents load up the car  If needed, Brian’s party orders rideshares or drives themselves to Morton
2:10pm	Kylie’s party arrives at FireFly and drops off their items in bridal suite  Kylie’s parents and wedding party are ready for first look with Kylie
2:15pm	Once ready, Kylie has a first look with her parents in Firefly Brian, parents, and party depart for Morton
2:20pm	Kylie has a casual first look with her party in Firefly
2:25pm	Kylie heads to first look location at Sterling Memorial Library  Kylie’s party and parents stay at Firefly and relax until given further instructions
2:30pm	Brian and party arrive at Morton and stay in the parking lot area until given “ok”  → Ohana Events pins boutonnières on Brian & party  → once pinned, Brian’s party drops off their items in Firefly and waits at Firefly  → once Kylie is staged, Brian heads to first look location  → Brian’s parents stay in Firefly and relax until family pictures begin
2:40pm	Kylie & Brian’s first look at Sterling Memorial Library Couple portraits begin afterwards
3:15pm	OE takes wedding party to Grand Garden to do mini ceremony rehearsal
3:35pm	After rehearsal, wedding party meets Kylie and Brian to join for group portraits Wedding party pictures begin around Grand Garden
3:55pm	Ohana Events takes parents to Garden Garden to do mini rehearsal
4:00pm	Officiant (Jim) arrives at Morton Arboretum (Grand Garden) and does a sound check with DJ
4:10pm	Wedding party pictures are complete; they head to Admin Building to freshen up Family pictures begin at Grand Garden
4:20pm	ALL photos completed Everyone heads over to the Admin Building to touch up before ceremony begins
4:30pm	Ohana Events checks that the best man (Todd) has the wedding rings + veil is on Kylie
4:55pm	Wedding party lines up and heads out towards Grand Garden Kylie stays back with OE assistant until given “ok”
5:00pm	Ceremony begins!
5:30pm	Kylie & Brian are married!!! Cocktail hour begins at Firefly/guests are invited to head over to Firefly for cocktail hour Kylie gets dress bustled by Ashley/MOH at Firefly
6:30pm	Cocktail hour ends and guests are invited into the dinner space
7:05pm	Once salads are served, Kylie’s dad (Dan) gives a welcome toast
7:45pm	After all entrées are served, speeches begin: 1) Ashley (MOH) 2) Todd (BM)
8:00pm	Dances begin & dance floor opens!
11:30pm	Party’s over!! 🙁 All items go into Kylie or Brian’s parent’s bar

HAIR & MAKEUP SCHEDULE:

Beauty Pointers!

– Hair is best styled with clean (washed day/night before; shampoo 2x and apply condition to your ends only), product-free or limited product in hair.
– IF applying serum/oils, avoid applying to the scalp area
– Hair should be completely dry (BLOW DRY, not air dry, and avoid sleeping with damp hair), unless your plan on a blowout. Anyone with damp hair runs risk of being behind, unless your service includes a blowout
– Part your hair where you think you’d most likely want to style it for the wedding day
– Leave hair down to avoid creases or flatness from a hair band
– Do not apply SPF moisturizers to your skin. You may still moisturize with a non SPF product. SPF causes makeup to fall off quicker.
– Wear a button up shirt or a robe so you don’t mess up your makeup or hair when changing into your dress.
– Brush your teeth and put in your contacts prior to beginning your beauty.
– It is helpful if each bridal party member has an inspirational image prepared to guide them.
– Lipstick will not last all day & night. Pack a touch up lipstick or gloss for reapplication.
– Pluck / maintain eyebrows before the wedding day

DON’T FORGET TO BRING…

Ladies!

1. Please arrive in something comfy to get ready in (button downs and/or something easy/loose to slide over your hair are encouraged)
2. Wedding day outfits (already steamed!) including appropriate bras/Spanx/undergarments
3. Accessories for wedding day
4. Getting ready shoes & wedding outfit shoes
5. Clutch/purse with personal items/IDs, phone, lipstick, tissues, etc.
6. Wedding card (if applicable)
7. Ashley: Printed speeches for dinner (ideally not read off of your phone). Feel free to email your speech to Sonya@ohanaevents.com if you want a printed copy

Gents!

1. Wedding day outfit (already pressed!): rental from Generation Tux and (dark blue suit with champagne tie) + your personal shoes
2. Cell phones, wallets and anything else you may keep in your suit coat pocket (do not put these items in your pants pockets – it will ruin pictures!)
3. Wedding card (if applicable)
4. Dan & Todd: Printed speech for dinner (ideally not read off of your phone). Feel free to email your speech to Sonya@ohanaevents.com if you want a printed copy
