TIMELINE OF EVENTS

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10

5:45pm	Sammie & Marty bring personal decor items to drop off at The Carter All family and wedding party begin arriving at The Carter
6:00pm	Rehearsal at The Carter
7:00pm	Rehearsal dinner at Salerno’s

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11

6:00pm

Casual welcome/hangout at Marty’s parents (900 S Western Ave, Park Ridge, IL 60068)

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12

8:00am	Access to The Carter begins Sammie, MOH, and mom check out of the hotel with ALL personal belongings
8:20am	Beauty team arrives for setup (other artist arrives 20 minutes later for set up)
8:30am	Everyone receiving beauty services arrive at The Carter Coffee and breakfast is delivered by Panera
8:40am	Hair and makeup services begin (other artists services start 20 minutes later) ** schedule is below **
10:30am	Marty’s party, including his dad, arrives at Sammie & Marty’s home to hang out with Marty  Gehrig picks up lunch at Jimmy Johns (2115 W Roscoe St, Chicago, IL 60618 ) for the guys  Lunch delivered from Jimmy Johns (520 N Ogden Ave, Chicago, IL 60642) for the ladies
11:00am	Personal Floral (bouquets/bouts and loose styling blooms) are delivered to The Carter
11:30am	Photo team arrives at The Carter
11:45am	Marty and party put on their wedding day outfits  ** Marty to leave off cufflinks, tie, last minute items **
12:00pm	Once beauty services are complete, Marty’s mom (Patricia) puts on wedding day outfit
12:10pm	Marty and party begin cleaning up and organizing their items
12:15pm	Shuttle arrives to Sammie & Marty’s home
12:20pm	Marty and party head outside and board the shuttle  Andrew is in charge of the cooler with non-messy snacks with water, beer, seltzers, and ice
12:25pm	Shuttle departs for The Carter
12:30pm	Sammie’s dad and brothers arrive at The Carter
12:45pm	ALL hair and makeup completed Sammie & bridesmaids take photos in their matching getting ready outfits Shuttle arrives to The Carter  Marty and party deboard and head into The Carter Marty and party begin their “getting ready” photos  → Marty’s mom (Patricia) “pins” boutonnières on Marty & his brothers for photo ops
1:00pm	Sammie’s mom (Jill) heads downstairs and “pins” boutonnières on Sammie’s brothers  Sammie, bridesmaids & moms put on their dresses
1:15pm	Once everyone is dressed, Sammie’s party helps her “get ready” Marty’s party heads back to the shuttle (besides siblings)  Marty takes solo pictures with his family
1:25pm	Sammie’s party starts (besides ALL siblings) heading downstairs to board the shuttle Lauren in charge of grabbing Sammie’s personal bag and personal florals Sammie’s dad (Dave) sees Sammie for a first look
1:30pm	Marty is staged for the first look // once Marty’s staged, Sammie heads over to Marty Both immediate families are waiting in the pre foyer area
1:35pm	Sammie & Marty’s have their first look at The Carter
1:45pm	After first look, Sammie & Marty take combined family portraits at The Carter
2:00pm	After family portraits, everyone boards the shuttle  Once everyone is on board, shuttle departs for the first photo location
2:20pm	Shuttle arrives to River Point Park and everyone deboards for pictures
2:25pm	Wedding party pictures begin at River Point Park
2:50pm	Wedding party, except for siblings, head back to the shuttle Immediate family pictures begin at at River Point Park
3:05pm	ALL photos are complete at River Point Park Family heads back to the shuttle // wedding party + family relax on the shuttle Couple portraits begin around the Riverwalk
3:15pm	Guest shuttle arrives on site at Hyatt Rosemont and guests begin to board
3:30pm	Guest shuttle departs for The Carter
3:35pm	Couple portraits wrap up, Sammie and Marty head back to the shuttle
3:40pm	Wedding party shuttle departs for The Carter
3:45pm	Additional family/family’s partners begins arriving at The Carter Ohana Events makes sure all family has their personal floral (boutonnières/corsages)
3:55pm	Wedding party shuttle arrives and Ohana Events helps with unloading items
4:00pm	Additional family photos begin at The Carter
4:20pm	ALL photos are complete Before guests arrive, Sammie and party gets tucked away and touches up in the bridal suite
4:30pm	Ushers and program passers (Jim A & Andy R) arrive at the ceremony site
4:45pm	Guest shuttle arrives at The Carter
5:00pm	Ceremony begins!
5:30pm	Sammie & Marty are married!!! Immediately following end of ceremony, extended family pictures begin at the altar Cocktail hour begins outside and inside the venue
6:45pm	Cocktail hour ends and guests are invited into the dinner space
7:05pm	Introductions begin: 1) Sammie’s parents 2) Marty’s parents 3) Marty’s party 4) Sammie’s party 5) MOH & BM 6) Sammie & Marty!
7:10pm	Sammie & Marty have their first dance
7:15pm	Welcome toast by Sammie’s dad (Dave)
7:20pm	Blessing by Marty’s dad (Richard)
8:15pm	After all entrées are served, speeches begin: 1) Lauren (MOH) 2) Andrew (BM) 3) Sammie & Marty’s “thank you”
8:30pm	Special dances begin: 1) Sammie & dad 2) Marty & mom Dance floor opens!
9:45pm	Shuttle is available for guests to board
10:00pm	Shuttle departs for Hyatt Rosemont
10:40pm	Shuttle arrives to Hyatt Rosemont and guests deboard
10:45pm	Shuttle loops around to The Carter
11:30pm	Party’s over 🙁 All items go into Sammie’s car (leaving overnight) Cards and valuable items go with Sammie’s parents  All guests, heading back to the hotel, board the shuttle
11:45pm	Final shuttle service departs for Hyatt Rosemont Sammie & Marty order an Uber to their home and change for after party
12:00am	Casual after party at The Reveler begins
12:20am	Shuttle arrives to Hyatt Rosemont and guests deboard

HAIR/MAKEUP SCHEDULE

Beauty Pointers!

– Hair is best styled with clean (washed day/night before; shampoo 2x and apply condition to your ends only), product-free or limited product in hair
– IF applying serum/oils, avoid applying to the scalp area
– Hair should be completely dry (BLOW DRY, not air dry, and avoid sleeping with damp hair). Anyone with damp hair runs risk of being behind. Blowouts are not included in any hair services
– Part your hair where you think you’d most likely want to style it for the wedding day
– Leave hair down to avoid creases or flatness from a hair band
– Do not apply SPF moisturizers to your skin. You may still moisturize with a non SPF product. SPF causes makeup to fall off quicker
– Wear a button up shirt or a robe so you don’t mess up your makeup or hair when changing into your dress
– Brush your teeth and put in your contacts prior to beginning your beauty
– It is helpful if each bridal party member has an inspirational image prepared to guide them
– Lipstick will not last all day & night. Pack a touch up lipstick or gloss for reapplication
– Pluck / maintain eyebrows before the wedding day
– Don’t forget to shave any areas that you want to be smooth/clean

DON’T FORGET TO HAVE READY & BRING …

Ladies

1. Sammie will provide PJs/getting ready outfits at the rehearsal dinner so please arrive and/or bring these to The Carter
2. Wedding day outfit including appropriate bras/Spanx/undergarments
4. Getting ready shoes (slippers) & wedding outfit shoes
5. Clutch/purse with personal items/IDs, phone, lipstick, tissues, etc.
6. Wedding card – if applicable
7. Lauren: Print speech for dinner (ideally not read off of your phone). Feel free to email your speech to Sonya@ohanaevents.com if you want it printed!

Gentlemen

1. Wedding day outfit: shoes, black socks, pants, suspenders, white shirt, black bow tie, black cuff links, jacket
2. Arrive in something comfortable to get ready/hang out in
3. Cell phones, wallets and anything else you may keep in your suit coat pocket (do not put these items in your pants pockets – it will ruin pictures!)
4. Wedding card – if applicable
5. Dave, Richard, & Andrew: Printed speech for dinner (ideally not read off of your phone). Feel free to email your speech to Sonya@ohanaevents.com if you want it printed!
