Friday, June 20

7:30amSydney & ladies // Workout class at the Free People Studio in West Loop (optional)
8:45amSydney & ladies // Breakfast at Beatrix in West Loop (optional)
Sydney & ladies // After breakfast, everyone showers & gets ready for the day
2:50pmAnyone attending the rehearsal boards the shuttle outside of the Westin
3:00pmShuttle departs and heads to Revel Motor Row
3:30pmCeremony rehearsal begins
4:15pmShuttle takes all guests to Kitchen Chicago for the rehearsal dinner
5:00pmRehearsal dinner begins
7:30pmMore guests arrive for the welcome party at Kitchen Chicago
10:00pmWelcome party concludes

Saturday, June 21

6:45amAll ladies getting hair & makeup done arrive at the Westin (River North)
Hair & makeup team arrives for setup
7:00amHair + makeup services begin

10:30amGroomsmen arrive at the Kinzie Hotel to hang out with Paul
10:45amLunch is delivered for the bridesmaids + groomsmen
11:00amGuys tidy up their room, clean up from lunch and gather all tux items pre photo arrival
11:15amPhotography team arrives
11:45amVideography team arrives
12:00pmALL hair and makeup completed
12:10pmSydney & bridesmaids take a photo in their getting ready outfits
→ Sydney’s mom gets dressed so she can be in a formal photo with Syd in her robe
12:20pmGuys board the shuttle outside
12:25pmSydney, bridesmaids & moms put on their dresses separately (Mom helps Syd get dressed)
12:30pmGroomsmen depart the Kinzie Hotel and head to the Westin River North
12:40pmSydney’s first look with dad in the bridal suite
Paul gets off the shuttle and heads to the first look location on the river
Groomsmen should remain on the shuttle
12:50pmSydney’s first look with bridesmaids in the bridal suite
1:00pmSydney & Paul’s first look
1:10pmBridesmaids heads downstairs and board the shuttle (bring your bouquets!)
1:30pmSydney and Paul join the wedding party on the party bus
Party bus heads to the Field Museum for group photos
2:45pmWedding party shuttle departs photo location and heads to Revel Motor Row
3:30pmFamily photos begin
Wedding party (who are not family) can hangout in the bridal suites upstairs
4:00pmAll photos are completed!
Jake – please make sure to grab the wedding bands that Sydney & Paul are wearing, so you can give them to the officiant during the ceremony
5:00pmCeremony begins
5:29pmThey’re finally married!!!
Officiant signs the marriage license (anytime this evening)
5:30pmCocktail hour begins!
Extended family photos begin
1) Sydney, Paul & The Walter Family (~40 people: aunts, uncles, cousins and spouses)
2) Paul & the Walter “Men” (Paul, Paul, Greg, Gary, Scott, Dave, Zach, Scott Jr & Steven)
3) Sydney, Paul & The Der-row-shees (~10-15 people)
4) Sydney, Paul & The Paddock Family (~40 people: aunts, uncles, cousins and spouses)
5) Sydney, Paul & The Otten Family (~15 people)
5:45pmDuring cocktail hour, Sydney takes some photos with her ladies:
– Sydney & the ladies (Maggie, Chris, Cyndi & Jo)
– Sydney & college friends
– Sydney & high school friends
6:30pmCocktail hour ends and guests invited into to take their seats
6:45pmParents, groomsmen, bridesmaids & bride/groom are introduced into the room
–> Bridesmaid/groomsmen introductions are in “groups”, not individuals
6:50pmWelcome & prayer by Mother of the Bride, Maggie
6:55pmDinner is served
7:10pmAfter all salads are plated, Sydney and Paul’s cake cutting
Right after, speeches begin (round 1): 
1) Sami (MOH / <5 min)
2) Jake (BM / <5 min)
7:55pmAfter entrée are plated, speeches begin (round 2):
1) Rick (Sydney’s Dad / 8-10 mins)
2) Sydney and Paul say their “thank you”
8:10pmIt’s dance time!
– Father/daughter dance
– Mother/son dance
– First dance with Sydney & Paul
Dance floor opens!
11:00pmParty’s Over in the main space, everyone head to the front of the building for the after party!
12:30amAfter party ends! 🙁
12:45amShuttle takes all guests back to the Westin Hotel

HAIR & MAKEUP SCHEDULE

BEAUTY POINTERS

  • Hair is best styled with clean (washed day/night before; shampoo 2x and apply condition to your ends only), product-free or limited product in hair.
  • IF applying serum/oils, avoid applying to the scalp area
  • For anyone with extremely wavy or curly hair and is wanting a smooth style, please arrive with blow dried or straightened hair.   
  • Hair should be completely dry (BLOW DRY, not air dry, and avoid sleeping with damp hair), unless you plan on a blowout. Anyone with damp hair runs risk of being behind.
  • Part your hair where you think you’d most likely want to style it for the wedding day
  • Leave hair down to avoid creases or flatness from a hair band
  • Do not apply SPF moisturizers to your skin. You may still moisturize with a non SPF product. SPF causes makeup to fall off quicker.
  • Brush your teeth and put in your contacts prior to beginning your beauty.
  • It is helpful if each bridal party member has an inspirational image prepared to guide them.
  • Lipstick will not last all day & night. Pack a touch up lipstick or gloss for reapplication.
  • Pluck / maintain eyebrows before the wedding day

– Chris Murphy and Ben Bickford: You are both in charge of getting the drinks, snacks and cooler on the bus (all items will be in the groom suite morning of the wedding)

DON’T FORGET TO BRING:

Sydney’s Crew

– Getting ready outfits: Sydney will be providing getting ready outfits so come in comfy clothes but know you’re changing!
– Wedding day outfit: including appropriate bras/Spanx/undergarments
– Jewelry: While the color silver is preferred, if you choose to wear any dainty jewelry (nothing thick/heavy), you can mix silver and dainty gold (mixing metals)
– Shoes: Black strappy sandal heels (refer to the photo that Sydney sent in the Bridesmaid group chat)
– Nails: Neutral colors (nothing too bright/neon)
– Clutch/purse/ bag with personal items/IDs, phone, lipstick, tissues, etc.
– Wedding card: if applicable
– Maggie & Sammie: Don’t forget your speech (ideally not read off of your phone). If you’d like a printed copy provided, feel free to email Danielle@ohanaevents.com

Paul’s Crew

– Wedding Day Outfit: Specifically: Socks, pants, button down, bowtie, suspenders and jacket. Paul will be gifting you Shoes + Cufflinks the morning of the wedding!
– Cell phones, IDs, wallets and anything else you may keep in your pocket
– Wedding card: if applicable
