Hey there, it’s Danielle! I’d love to pop in for this blog because I’m so excited to share more about our recent wedding planner retreat that took place in Austin, TX. I’ll spare sharing too many details but I won’t lack sharing any photos, thanks to our dear friend Rachael Kazmier that tagged along to capture behind-the-scenes coverage and OH so many pretty details.

Welcome Party, Day One

Each planner was greeted with gift bags and custom name tags with everyone’s names and companies listed out. Most of the women attending did not know everyone so we spent time getting to know one another over specialty cocktails during sunset. Once everyone arrived, we sat down for dinner and indulged.

Day Two

We got right to work in the morning with a full day of workshop, collaboration and as some would call it, a mastermind. Picking one another’s brains to gain insight how every small business operates so differently, which in turn means that all of our own success and small wins look different from one another. There was a lot of support and helpful advice shared amongst the business owners. We also had special guests join us for lunch, the lovely ladies from Hawthorne & Poppy. They deep dived into how they have achieved getting into the luxury market, additionally, were such a blast to hangout with at lunch. Before dinner, we all played a little Planner Bingo to get loose. Which followed by sticky fingers with some good ol’ Salt Lick BBQ.

Day Three

Day three came SO fast. We woke up with a private yoga class and a refreshing avocado bar to follow. We had to fill up because of the cocktail class that awaited us outside! Our class was hosted by the amazing bartenders of Drink Slingers — my goodness would we recommend them time and time again. Our lovely bartender, Josh, brought so much fun energy as we learned to make 3 cocktails by the pool. Once the class concluded, it was Taco Tuesday pool party time! Finally, later in the day, we all showered and changed to go out in Downtown Austin. There may have been a little karaoke and cocktails involved but what’s the harm in that 😉
