One of the first things that Leigh Anne and Chad said to me when we first met was the one non-negotiable with their wedding was there had to be a confetti explosion at the end of their ceremony. I immediately fell in love and knew we were going to be such a great fit! And I was right, Leigh Anne and Chad were the sweetest couple and they had a party-filled night with some of the cutest personal details. Let’s talk about it!
Their wedding day began at the Renaissance Hotel with all their closest family and friends. After Leigh Anne got dressed, she had a first look with both her mom and dad. Highly recommend this, it was the cutest moment to see her mom’s reaction! Leigh Anne and Chad chose not to have a wedding party so they were able to stroll down the river without any distractions. They even passed by a man playing the saxophone so they took the opportunity to share some dance moves – priceless!
Shortly after they got to the venue, the guests began arriving for the ceremony. If you haven’t heard of Salvage One, it is actually an antique resale store, so there is plenty to look around and see while guests waited for the ceremony to begin. When it was time, guests took their seats, noticing the confetti poppers at each seat. The officiant explained not to pop them until they kissed and were married, which I’m sure everyone was anxious for! That moment when all the guests started popping the confetti was magical. You could hardly see, everyone was laughing and smiling so much.
Cocktail hour then began on the first floor, where guests were able to walk around to see what’s for sale while trying tasty cocktails and appetizers. At the bar, Leigh Anne and Chad stacked up on cute “Fun Fact” cocktail napkins and customized match books for guests to take as they please. They also had a large sign that said their first conversation on a dating app when they “met” for the first time. We have so many couples meet on dating aps but I don’t think we’ve ever heard how the conversations ever began. It was a cute addition to cocktail hour.
Guests were then invited upstairs at Salvage One for dinner and dancing. Upstairs, they had a favor table that showcased Chad’s aunt’s homemade customized Chapstick and honey. We loved all of the personal touches! Guests sat at the mismatched tables, once again all for sale at Salvage One! We love that every wedding at Salvage One can look so different because they are continuously changing out the chandeliers, tables, chairs and all other décor elements in the reception space. Once the dancing began, the disco ball was shining and the music didn’t stop!
Sadly, this was our last wedding before COVID called off a majority of our 2020 weddings. We are so happy to have finished off our “regular weddings” with such a bang. Congratulations once again, Leigh Anne and Chad! We will never forget your absolutely banging wedding day!
