I’ve been planning weddings and events in Chicago for the past 6+years and one of the main questions all of our couples ask us about is, “what hotels do you recommend?” I’ve always had a few on my list but it’s not like I stay overnight to ever experience hotels like our couples do. But since last weekend, I feel like my eyes opened up when my girls splurged and got me the Presidential Suite at the Swissotel Chicago for my bachelorette party.
How did this come about? Well the girls asked me what my requirements were for my special weekend and all I said was I wanted to stay in a nice hotel and go on a boat. We could call it a staycation! Because with COVID-19 dampening most 2020 plans, we wanted to re-think the idea of my bachelorette party. We wanted it to be safe for the ladies who celebrated us and we also wanted it to be cost effective because we know a lot of people are struggling given the environment.
Never in my life did I think I would have such a wildly amazing time in my home town. If you are trying to plan a bachelorette party, birthday party, anniversary party, gosh any type of party, consider making it a staycation. And for any small/medium size party, consider doing it up in a nice suite at a hotel, such as the Swissotel.
Imagine all of the money [combined] that people spend to do a destination trip. From flights to Ubers to hotel stay, it adds up really fast if you have a group. Now, add up a portion of all that money [that would have been spent] and there you have it, you can rent a gorgeous hotel suite to stay in with your besties in your home city.
The Swissotel was the perfect place for us to stay given it’s jaw-dropping views and stunning amenities. To be specific, we stayed in the Presidential Suite which is a whopping 2000 square feet. Even with social distancing, we were still able to celebrate with all the ladies in a safe manner. They had a front corridor, large wet bar area, dining space, corner sitting area (which had the best views of them all), more seating with 2 large TVs, a library, office, bedroom, two baths, and large bathroom. We even got their dessert display (YUM) and bottle of champagne to make it extra special. Take a look for yourself….
So with all this space, you honestly can have a small party or get together with no issues. I ended up following up with the hotel because I wasn’t as familiar with the property and they mentioned they have some offers going on right now. It seemed appropriate to share, given I had such a great experience there.
Depending how many rooms you contract for, you will get a certain amount of exclusive offers. The events must take place before 12/31/2021.
Attached below is some more information regarding the suite options at the Swissotel.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions regarding my stay at the Swissotel! If you want all the natural light you could imagine for the best photo opportunities, this might be a place you should look into!
